I have written a book on the enigmatic celebrity in popular music, focusing on the British singer Morrissey. The book is called “Only if You are Really Interested”: Celebrity, Gender, Desire and the World of Morrissey. It was published by McFarland & Co. in 2011. It is available from major retailers everywhere.
I am currently writing a book on the late career of David Bowie (post-1988), outlining how he negotiates his celebrity. The book is tentatively entitled, Call it a Day: The Destruction of David Bowie. It is forthcoming from McFarland & Co.
Some of my other work can be found on my page at Academia.edu.
